Our community remembers when individual homeowners could call Elmer’s Garbage and Recycling and request a large item to be picked up. There was no charge to the Association and the communication with Elmer’s was straightforward so you knew what to expect.
We are no longer in that situation. Please do not contact Waste Management for a pickup of your individual item. They do charge for the extra pickup and it goes on our community invoice. We have just now begun to see them picking up our community garbage and recycling on a regular basis and according to our contract with them.
There are many other options for disposing of your large items. Please research your options and arrange payment directly with your chosen vendor. We will try to add possible options to our Garbage and Recycling page in the coming days. But again, no one should call Waste Management to request any service.
